CodeCast Episode 84: IronPython 2.6.1 for VS 2010 with Jimmy Schementi

Jimmy discusses what’s new in IronPython 2.6.1, released in sync with Visual Studio 2010. CodeCast Episode 83: 10 Years of CODE Magazine with Markus Egger and Rod Paddock

The original idea of CODE Magazine, owned by EPS Software, was an idea conceived by Markus Egger and Rick Strahl during a trip to Europe in the late 1990s. CodeCast Episode 81: CodeRush for VS 2010 with Gary Short
In this episode of CodeCast, Ken Levy discusses with Gary Short what’s new in CodeRush for Visual Studio 2010. Gary goes into details about the highlights of how CodeRush has been enhanced in the latest version, how it leverages many of the cool new IDE and editor features in VS 2010, and the enhanced extensibility model based on DXCore framework by DevExpress. CodeCast Episode 80: VS 2010 and Office 2010 Development with Beth Massi
In this episode of CodeCast, Ken Levy interviews Beth Massi, a senior program manager at Microsoft. On the BizApps team in the Visual Studio group, Beth is a community champion for business applications and Visual Basic developers. Beth discusses building business productivity applications with Visual Studio 2010 and Office 2010. The Visual Studio and Office teams have made significant investments in improving the developer experience for building and deploying Office and SharePoint applications. Beth discuses various scenarios for creating business applications built on Office and SharePoint as well as integrating line-of-business data via OData services. Also discussed are powerful scenarios such as consuming these services to create powerful BI data analysis in Excel 2010 and extending Office client and server applications.

CodeCast Episode 79: VS 2010 Shell Products with Nathan Halstead
In this episode of CodeCast, Ken Levy interviews Nathan Halstead of Microsoft, program manager on the Visual Studio Platform team responsible for the Visual Studio Shell (Isolated and Integrated) Shell products, as well as the Visual Studio SDK. Discussed in-depth is an overview of the isolated and integrated shells for both VS 2008 and the new VS 2010, scenarios for using one or both shell products, Microsoft partners and others using the free shell runtime.
